Your BR’98 Planning Committee came up with a very fine idea of awarding a “Gracias Award” to one deserving member of our society each year. The committee also nominated and picked the individual to be honored THIS year.
However, for the future, the person to be so honored will be nominated by any of our members and will be considered by an Award Committee yet to be named.
The qualifications for the honor will range from recognition for outstanding service in and out of the USAF to contributions to our morale with wit and a pleasant personality. We have not figured out how to pay for the award, but we are open to and solicit your ideas.
